Timothy W. Corson, Ph.D.

Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology
Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology
Associate Member, IU Simon Cancer Center

Research interests

  • Chemical biology & drug discovery in ophthalmology
  • Ocular oncology, especially retinoblastoma pathogenesis
  • Ocular neovascularization

The Corson lab seeks to apply the tools and techniques of chemical biology to problems in eye disease. Specifically, we are working to find novel, small-molecule therapeutic approaches and targets for age-related macular degeneration and other neovascular eye diseases. We are also interested in understanding the biology of, and developing potential therapies for, the ocular cancers retinoblastoma and uveal melanoma.
